Handmade boro glass quartz inspired bead in purples, blues and greens

Inspired by natural quartz beads, but mine are brighter!
Boro (borosilicate) glass is known for it's clarity and strength and has a colour palette very different from soft glass. Colours tend to be mysterious, shifting with the light, and subtle/natural in tone - though the colours come alive in sunlight. These qualities make it ideal for jewellery making.

Bead approx 32mm long, 18mm wide and 9mm thick.
This bead comes with two matching spacers, not pictured

Made on a 1.8mm mandrel, hole size approx 2mm

All my beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln.
