Another favourite - its fun layering the glass and seeing what happens. These beads are encased in clear, highlighting the base colours

Boro (borosilicate) glass is known for it's clarity and strength and has a colour palette very different from soft glass. Colours tend to be mysterious, shifting with the light, and subtle/natural in tone - though the colours come alive in sunlight. These qualities make it ideal for jewellery making.

There are 5 beads in this set. Sizes average approx 9mm wide and 11mm long.

Made on a 1.8mm mandrel, so actual hole size likely to be around 2mm

All my beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln
