I work from my studio in the heart of the English Lake District creating handmade glass beads using the amazing inspirations a location like this provides. The Lakes are full of organic textures and tones, bright flowers and sweeping landscapes - and of course, lots of water! 
I work with borosilicate (boro - or 'hard') glass to create my beads. This exciting glass is known for its clarity, strength and unique colour palette. Colours tend to be subtle/natural in tone, both dramatic and mysterious. Often the colours change with the light, becoming very vivid in sunlight. These qualities make it ideal for jewellery making.

My handmade glass beads are carefully cleaned and annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability.
